Generations Recovery Services provides outpatient substance use disorder services to those affected by substance abuse.

All of our services are culturally appropriate, gender specific and person-centered. licensed staff work with clients to create a treatment plan designed to meet individual client needs and goals. Our staff collaborate with family, friends, and other loved ones to build a strong recovery network throughout the client's treatment experience.

Our goal is to assist those who are ready to make lifestyle changes through effective and appropriate substance abuse services that focus on reducing harm and improving quality of life. We provide a comfortable and safe space to unpack personal baggage, deep breath, and learn healthy coping skills.

Our diverse and culturally competent team of professionals recognizes the healthcare disparities that affect people of color. We pride ourselves on offering a culturally diverse treatment program that is dedicated to serving the Twin Cities’ Hmong, African (East & West), Black, and Native American populations. All are welcome at our center.

  • Comprehensive Assessments

    Monday Through Friday by Appointment and Walk-ins

  • Individual and Group Psychotherapy

  • Individual and Group Counseling (SUD’s)

  • Peer Recovery Support

  • Clients can start treatment without an assessment.

Brenda Nelson- MA,BS, LADC

LADC Program Supervisor

Brenda Nelson is an LADC and has worked in the field for over 12 years. She has a passion for the work that she does, providing tools to those beginning their journey of recovery.

Brenda obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling at Metropolitan State University after obtaining an Associates of Science Degree at Century College, where she studied in the areas of Chemical Dependency. Brenda went on to study at Saint Mary’s University and obtained her Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Psychological Services LPPC and is now working as our LPCC Trainee
